• January 14: Deadline to apply for the Young Leaders Convention Program
• January 16: Announcement of the winners of the Education Awards (6 x 1000$)

February

• February 15: Deadline to apply for the NB Holstein Branch 500$ scholarship for a youth pursuing post-secondary studies.
• February: Atlantic Young Breeders School
  *Does not occur on years when the National Holstein Convention is in the Atlantic Provinces.

March

• March 1: 4-H Canada scholarship/bursaries open for 2019 applicants
  
• March 15: Deadline to apply for the Ontario Dairy Youth Award
  *For youth aged 25-35 to go to Madison, Wisconsin for the World Dairy Expo
• March 31: Deadline to apply to Dairy Sen$e (Ontario and Manitoba)

April

• April 15: 4-H Canada World Dairy Expo competition. Eight senior 4-H’ers will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Madison, Wisconsin to attend the World Dairy Expo, October 1 to 5, 2019, through the 4-H Canada World Dairy Expo competition.
• April 18: The CIAQ Hour, showmanship contest during the Quebec Spring Show
  *For youth 13-21. Register morning of the show

May

• May 2-4: Dairy Sen$e(Ontario and Manitoba).
  *For youth aged 18-25 years old.
• May 11: Deadline to apply for the Ontario Joint Dairy Breeds Scholarship. 2 x $1000 scholarships for students enrolled in post-secondary programs.
• May 18-20: Fitting and Preparation School (Quebec).
  *For youth aged 13-25 years old. Preparation for shows, fitting, washing and showmanship three-day clinic.
• May 25: Ontario Judging School, hosted by Beckholm Holsteins. It is open to those who wish to improve their dairy cattle judging skills.

June

• Deadline to apply for the PEI Dairy Youth Trust Fund scholarship.
  *1000$ scholarship for a youth pursuing post-secondary studies from PEI.
• June 15: Deadline to apply for the Edward Y. Morwick Ontario Dairy Youth Trust Fund Scholarship.
  *Eight 1000$ scholarships for students enrolled in post-secondary education programs.
• June 30: Deadline to apply for Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers scholarship. *One $1000 for a student post secondary and one $1000 for a student that has already completed a year post secondary.

July

• July 8-9: EastGen Showcase (Spencerville, ON).
  *For youth 13-21.
• July 8-9: Eastern ON Junior Show (Spencerville, ON). In conjunction with EastGen Showcase.
  *For youth 9-13.
• July 4-5: EastGen Challenge West (Stratford, ON).
  *For youth 13-21.
• July 8: East-Central ON Junior Show (Orono, ON).
  *For youth aged 9-13.
• July 10-11: Western ON Junior Show (Woodstock Fairgrounds, ON). *For youth aged 9-13.

• October 31: Deadline to apply for the AHA (Alberta Holstein Association) Scholarship
